“A mission is accomplished by the hands of those that give, the knees of those who pray, and the feet of those who go.” Andrea Linares Reaching Argentina for Christ ! La Plata - Buenos Aires - Argentina

About Andrea...
I’ve had the great privilege of serving God in
praise and worship ministry as a musician and
singer from the time I came to know Christ. Since
that moment in 2005, I’ve been actively participating
in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, and
prayer within Campus Crusade for Christ in Argentina.
God has been very good to me as He’s allowed
me to serve Him in various places around
the world. I’ve sung and led worship in conferences,
camps, retreats, prayer meetings, devotional
times, churches, youth meetings, missions
projects, concerts, evangelistic events, vacation
Bible schools, social events. I have even been able
to play in cities like La Plata, Buenos Aires, Mar
del Plata, Córdoba, Salta, Tucumán, Catamarca,
Neuquén (all in Argentina). And even places outside
of Argentina such as Busan and Incheon in
South Korea, as well as in Málaga, Spain and in
North Carolina.
I am currently in my last year of school,
studying Computer Science. In addition, I am
working as a teacher, while remaining very involved
with Campus Crusade. This year, I am
leading a Bible study with five new students who
are taking their first steps as believers. I’m also
working with the prayer meeting team, playing
worship and helping to plan outreach events.

A New Adventure Begins...
I’ve prayed many times, begging God to help me learn
to serve Him fully through music. As a response to that
prayer, I was able to visit the headquarters of Keynote in
Indianapolis, where I was given two challenges. Keynote is a
ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, dedicated to sharing
Christ through music and performing arts. They train musicians,
technicians, and designers so that they can fulfill the
“Great Commission” through their God-given gifts.
The leaders at Keynote have challenged me to participate
in a seven-week-long training, in order to perfect my
craft, as God has called me to share Christ with children,
teenagers, and adults through music.
During those seven weeks, I will be taking classes related
to evangelism, missions, praise and worship, stage presence,
body language, speech, sharing a personal testimony
during a concert, and how to planing times of praise and
worship. I’ll also be taking music classes (in my case, I’ll be
studying voice and guitar), and I’ll be participating in rehearsals
with the band to which I’ve been assigned. This
training isn’t only theoretical, but it’s also practical. That’s
why, for four weeks following the training in Indianapolis,
I’m going to go on tour with my assigned band to do evangelism
through music in places like New Jersey, Ohio, Kentucky,
New York, Indianapolis, and Florida. I will be part of
the first Spanish-speaking band for Keynote in the United
States, and our goal is to share Christ with the Spanishspeaking
community. My goal is to learn, through this experience,
how to do musical ministry in my own country.
This is the second challenge that Keynote has presented
to me: when I come back to Argentina, I will be training Argentine
musicians to form the first evangelistic Keynote band
in Argentina. There is currently no music ministry within
Campus Crusade in Argentina, and I am privileged to help
begin this ministry here in my own country. I can't believe
what a great opportunity God has given me in this new ministry:
using music to reach Argentina and the world for
Christ!!!! It is truly a dream come true for me. So of course I
am super excited about the idea and the process.
Why a Music Ministry??
In all parts of the world, one can observe that children,
teenagers and adults are being influenced by two social
phenomena: music and the internet.
Each day hundreds of thousands of people receive
messages through music; messages void of salvation and
hope, with lyrics that induce them to make poor decisions
and takes steps that can lead to death. That’s why it is necessary
for us, as Christians, to allow our testimony of how God
has changed our lives through Christ to reach the ears of the
lost and penetrate their hearts so that they might be won for
Christ. Even more, in hopes that we might reach those who
have walked away from their faith so that they might return
to Christ.
I don’t doubt that this is the will of God. It’s time
that we finally begin to use our gifts and talents that God has
given us for his good work for His glory.
